You must be aged 18 or over and a permanent resident of the USA, excluding the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man.
Up to $85,000 of your money ($170,000 for joint accounts) is protected by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme, the USA’s deposit guarantee. So in the unlikely event that the bank were to get into trouble, you’d get your money back up to that limit.

With Easy Access and Notice Accounts, you can change your mind and cancel your account within 14 days of opening. This doesn’t apply to Fixed Term Accounts. However, with all Cash ISAs (including Fixed Cash ISA accounts), you can also change your mind and cancel your account within 14 days of opening.
